This September CIJ Group celebrated hosting it's 75th virtual Power Pitching event!
Power Pitching brings together PRs with top-tier journalists in a collaborative event ahead of key occasions in the retail calendar. In 2024 CIJ Group hosted 18 virtual events ranging from Father's Day, Christmas, Mother's Day right through to vertical specific events covering food and drink, mother and baby, homeware, beauty and more. Executed in a speed dating meets dragons den style format, within 1 hour 15 minutes PRs benefit from taking to the stage in their own private virtual room to present their offering to the media. They are able to meet all 20-25 national media, without leaving their desk! For the media, it helps to bring products to life, inspiring them with ideas for gift guides and articles.
Since its launch in January 2019, Power Pitching has since welcomed over 230 brands and retailers, 70 PR agencies, and more than 1,100 media personnel!
Brands and retailers who have benefitted from the virtual events include; ALDI, Pokémon, Moonpig, Marks & Spencers, Wilko, Russell Hobbs, Not On The High Street, Bird & Blend, JoJo Maman Bébé, STABILO, The Entertainer, Schuh, Dobbies, Dr Paw Paw, The Card Factory, Mad Beauty, Wayfair, Remington, MenKind, Laithwaite’s, The Range and Kocktail… to name just a few.
