Event in Numbers | 1 hour | 22 national media | 6 brands and retailers
This September, as part of our Christmas Power Pitching series, we welcomed 6 brands and retailers and 22 national media to our Christmas Lifestyle Gifting Power Pitching event. The one-hour power hour saw both new and returning brands and retailers, including GAIA Skincare and Historic Newspapers, for which this was their first event, and returning regulars Moonpig, Cricut, Famileo, and Revamp Professional.
GAIA Skincare - “This was our first Power Pitching event and I was very impressed! We met a good range of journalists and had a chance to speak about a couple of Christmas gift sets, hopefully leaving a good impression!”
The national journalists in attendance, some of whom were more than happy to celebrate Christmas early and even came sporting Christmas jumpers, varied from Senior Editors to Reviews Writers and Health Editors to Entertainment and Lifestyle Directors, all from top national publications including Good Housekeeping, IndyBest, Glamour, The Sunday Times, Country Living, Woman&Home, MailOnline, Prima, Closer and more!
Ahead of the event, the journalists shared an insight into the types of products they were hoping to see and the topics they were currently working on. The brands and retailers delivered, ensuring they covered all bases and tailored their pitches to suit the different intimate groups of media they were meeting, helping to make the most out of their time with them.
Products included: Advent calendars, personalised family newsletter subscriptions, the latest in cordless haircare technology, Spa-at-home gift sets, keepsake books, letterbox gifts, and more!
Both the brands and media in attendance were delighted with what they got out of the session, and 100% of the media agreed that Power Pitching is a valuable and unique use of their time to meet with PRs and collate content. The brands were also delighted as every product each of the PRs pitched is planned to be featured in at least a few of the publications they met!
