Event in Numbers | 1 hour 10 mins | 24 national media | 8 brands and retailers
Kids may only just be breaking up for Summer now but in the world of both retail and the media, back to school shopping is already at the top of the agenda!
That’s why last week, we hosted 24 national media and 8 brands and retailers at our Back To School Power Pitching event. The 1-hour power hour saw M&S, Schuh, STABILO, Cricut, Kickers, Mrs Wordsmith, Hunter Price and Mitsubishi Pencils pitch-in their top products that are set to be a school bag essential to our line-up of national media.
In attendance and looking to learn something new were a mixture of journalists, broadcasters, editors, publishers and reporters from Woman&Home, ITV Lorraine, Mother & Baby, Country Living, Netmums, Fabulous, My Baba, The Sun, Stylist, The Daily Star, Metro, iWeekend and more.
Products being presented to the class ranged from creative artwork pens to school uniforms with 100-day return policies and every other accessory in between. A particular highlight included the event's sponsor, Mrs Wordsmith, who made their Power Pitching debut with their Blah Blah Blah Phonetics card game, which received a shoutout from My Baba.
Each brand in attendance benefited from meeting with groups of 3-4 journalists at a time in their own breakout room, ensuring they could personally engage with each of the journalists, tailor their pitch, and host Q&A sessions whilst still meeting all 24 in attendance within the hour all from the comfort of their own home!
Here’s a sneak peek at some of those in attendance tuning in from across the UK as we waved goodbye after a productive hour, which also made room for some old school tunes, and very fitting for the time, Glastonbury lineup music requests!
STABILO who have been attending this event every year for the past 5 years, shared “The event itself was so well run and smooth, with an amazing host who made everything so clear!!”.
